Second seed and current favourite with many betting apps, Aryna Sabalenka will face a familiar opponent in round three when she faces off with Ekaterina Alexandrova on Arthur Ashe.
The two women have met six times in the past, and the result has always been the same; a Sabalenka straight-sets victory. The Belarusian has been ruthless so far in the tournament, dispatching her last two opponents in straight sets.

Novak Djokovic is back in action on day five, having defeated Serbian compatriot Laslo Djere in the second round. The 24-time grand slam winner was leading 6-4 6-4 2-0 when his opponent retired through injury, but it was certainly not easy going for the reigning champion.
Number 28 seed Alexei Popyrin came into the tournament in good form, having beaten five top-20 players en route to securing a first Masters 1000 title at the Canadian Open earlier this month, defeating Andrey Rublev in straight sets in the final.
Djokovic is likely to have too much for the Australian in New York, but we expect Popyrin to give a good account of himself in defeat. The Panel expect Djokovic to win 3-1 at 11/4 with Ladbrokes.
