Scott McTominay Next Club Odds: Fulham Favourites To Sign Scot

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday, August 30 and the best betting sites continue to offer odds on potential deals. One of those concerns Scott McTominay, who could be on his way out of Manchester United this summer.

McTominay proved his worth to Scotland by playing every minute of his country's Euro 2024 campaign, and he has been an important for United over the last few years too.

But he was almost sold by Erik ten Hag 12 months ago and is facing an uncertain future again.

With the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules incentivising the sale of academy products, United are reportedly considering cashing in on the midfielder.

Where does McTominay’s future lie? We take a look at the possible landing spots for the 27-year-old.

While McTominay seems to be surplus to requirements, it is not yet a given that he will leave Old Trafford this summer.

He was very close to departing this time last year but ultimately stayed put to be an important player for Ten Hag.

The Scot is a handy player to have, especially as he seems content being a squad player and he has a knack for scoring important goals.

United are 11/10 to keep hold of him as Ten Hag looks to make it three successive seasons with a trophy.

Fulham Lead Race If McTominay Leaves Old Trafford

If McTominay does end up plying his trade elsewhere, odds of 11/8 supplied by football betting sites suggest it is likely to be at Fulham.

The Cottagers are at the front of the queue for the England-born Scot and would be able to offer him continued employment in the Premier League.

According to the rumour mill, Fulham have already had a £20m for McTominay rejected.

Galatasaray Sniffing Around Scotland International

Galatasaray are also thought to be interested in striking a deal for McTominay, who is aware of the Turkish giants’ admiration.

Joining the Istanbul outfit would take the midfielder away from a top-five European league, but it would offer him the chance to play Champions League football again.

The Turkish champions have a number of former Premier League players in their squad, including former Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech and former Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.

Galatasaray can be backed at 10/1 to win the race for McTominay’s signature.

Tottenham Looking For A Midfielder This Summer

It's year two for Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager and he is slowly making his squad his own.

This is his third transfer window and signing McTominay might be something he is considering.

Spurs had hoped to strike a deal for Conor Gallagher of Chelsea, but the England international has agreed to join Atletico Madrid instead

That could see Spurs turn their attention to McTominay, who is currently available at 10/1 to become part of Tottenham's squad for the 2024/25 campaign, which includes Europa League football.

West Ham United Could Renew Interest

West Ham United are looking to renovate their squad under Julen Lopetegui, who is now calling the shots at the London Stadium following David Moyes’ exit.

Moyes wanted to sign McTominay last summer and came close to doing so, only for Manchester United to pull the plug on the deal.

West Ham could try again ahead of the upcoming season, although after spending big money on Niclas Fullkrug and Crysencio Summerville, the Hammers are outsiders at best at a price of 16/1 on betting apps.

Saudi Arabian Move Is A Long Shot

The huge amount of money on offer in Saudi Arabia makes employment in the Pro League tempting for every footballer on the planet.

But McTominay does not seem the type of player to ditch the Premier League for a second-rate competition.

The Scotland international is only 27-years-old and theoretically at the peak of his career.

It would be a huge shock if he moved to Saudi now. Odds of 25/1 are available if you disagree.

Newcastle United Outsiders As Things Stand

Newcastle United have not had the busiest summer so far, in part because their main priority is to avoid losing some of their key men such as Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.

They will want to bolster their squad ahead of a possible top-four challenge, and McTominay’s energetic, box-to-box style would be a good fit for Eddie Howe’s brand of football.

However, the St James' Park club are rank outsiders at 28/1.

Crystal Palace Unlikely To Make A Move

Crystal Palace enjoyed a fantastic finish to last season under new manager Oliver Glasner, who led them to six wins and a draw from their final seven fixtures.

This season, the Eagles will be targeting qualification for European football.

They have been mentioned in the past as a possible destination for McTominay, but Palace do not seem to be showing much of an interest right now.

Palace (33/1) also look to be reasonably well stocked in the centre of the park.
