The Panel's Ultimate Betting Guide For The 2024/25 Premier League Season

The 33rd chapter of the Premier League is about to get under way with Fulham's visit to Manchester United.

Both sides will be looking to start their campaign with a win after disappointing seasons last time out.

United finished eighth, their worst ever final position in the Premier League, putting pressure on manager Erik ten Hag, who kept his job by winning the FA Cup.

After finishing 10th at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, Fulham were hoping to kick on and improve on that.

But Marco Silva's side took a backward step and finished 13th. Football betting sites have United as favourites to start with a win.

How will the Premier League season pan out? Will defending champions Manchester City make it five successive titles, or can Arsenal finally make it to the top of the table?

We take a look at all the odds for all 20 clubs.

City's Title To Lose

According to the best betting sites, Manchester City are once again the team to beat.

Pep Guardiola's side made history last season by becoming the first team to be crowned champions of England for four consecutive seasons. After beating Manchester United to win the Community Shield, can they make it five?

Captain Kyle Walker admits the "title is theirs to lose", and as long as Guardiola is in charge of this team, they will remain favourites.

However, a dark cloud continues to hover above the Etihad Stadium in the 115 charges the club has to answer regarding breaches of Premier League rules.

The hearing is expected to start in the coming weeks and the club could be deducted points, which could hinder their chances of winning a ninth Premier League title.

Premier League Odds

Until the outcome of that hearing is determined, City remain the 4/6 favourites to win the title. Could City's off-the-field issues open the door for Arsenal, who have been City's nearest rivals in the previous two seasons?

The Gunners are 19/10 to win their first title since their 'Invincibles' season of 2003/04.

Or will Arne Slot manage to hit the ground running and turn Liverpool into title challengers? The Reds are 7/1 third favourites to stop City's dominance like they did under Jurgen Klopp in 2020.

Promoted Clubs Keen To Avoid Repeat

For the second time in Premier League history, the three promoted sides were relegated from the top flight.

Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town started the last campaign with hopes of establishing themselves as regulars in the division, but all three struggled throughout the season and returned to the Championship.

Can this year's newly-promoted clubs do any better?

For Leicester and Southampton, they are back where they feel they belong after just one season away.

This promises to be a special season for Ipswich Town, who are back in the big time after a 22-year absence.

The odds on betting apps are not flattering for all three, who are the favourites for the drop.

Leicester, who may be deducted points if they are found guilty of breaching the profit and sustainability rules the last time they were in the Premier League, are the 4/9 favourites on betting apps to be relegated.

Ipswich are 10/11 to return to the Championship, while Southampton's odds are 26/19.

Can Haaland Continue Prolific Form?

Scoring goals is supposedly the hardest job in football but for Erling Haaland, it seems to be as easy as tying your boot lace.

Since joining Manchester City for £51m in the summer of 2022, Haaland has set numerous goalscoring records.

A record 36 league goals in his debut season was followed by a 27-goal haul giving him a total of 66 goals in just 63 games.

Haaland (8/11) starts the season as favourite to win a third successive Golden Boot, but he faces stiff competition for the personal accolade.

Mohamed Salah (12/1) was the league's goal king before Haaland's arrival from Dortmund and the Egyptian is just seven goals away from climbing to eighth in the league's all-time scoring list.

Between them Newcastle's Alexander Isak (21) and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins (19) shared 40 goals last season.

Both will be confident of challenging for the Golden Boot this time around and both are priced at 16/1 on new betting sites to be the league's top scorer.
