Britpop music fans were sent into a frenzy late last month when Oasis confirmed they are reuniting next year for an historic UK and Ireland tour.

While formerly estranged brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have clearly put their differences to one side for an upcoming Oasis comeback, talk on UK betting sites has turned to other groups who could make a famous return.

Linkin Park - whose frontman Chester Bennington took his own life in 2017 aged 41 - are one band who certainly look set to reunite, after revealing they are to make an announcement of some sort on September 5.

But aside from the nu metal outfit and the indie icons - who else will might a comeback?

Millions of people took to computers on Saturday to queue up for Oasis tickets - and it wouldn't be a surprise if some are still in a virtual queue waiting for the possibility of sold-out dates magically reappearing.

There would no doubt be similar meltdown scenes if pop stars One Direction were to reunite.

The Little Things hitmakers - made up of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, after Zayn Malik quit the band in 2015 - went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, but they would certainly be welcomed back.

1D are just 8/13 on specials betting sites to be the next group to announce a reunion, while fellow British band Spice Girls are Evens to make a comeback next.

In April, the Wannabe hitmakers sparked speculation they could be set to reunite after Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C came together to support fellow band member Victoria Beckham at her 50th birthday celebrations.

The quintet even burst into song, performing a rendition of their hit tune Stop.

Spice Girls have been rumoured to be potential headliners for next year's Glastonbury, with Sporty Spice Mel C previously admitting she would love "nothing more" than performing on the Pyramid Stage alongside Scary, Ginger, Baby and Posh.

Should they follow in Oasis' footsteps and reunite, it would be the girl group's first official comeback since they performed at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.

Justin Bringing SexyBack?

They're known for their hit Bye Bye Bye, but US pop megastars *NSYNC could soon be saying Hi Hi Hi (Again) to the world.

Recent reports have suggested Justin Timberlake could be set to reunite with the band - also made up of JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick - next year to mark their 30th anniversary.

The It's Gonna Be Me hitmakers haven't released an album since 2001's Celebrity and SexyBack singer Justin went solo a year later.

He's achieved more chart success as a solo singer than he did with the band, but there have been strong rumours of late that JT might join forces with the lads again.

Justin took his *NSYNC bandmates on stage during his Forget The World Tour in March, they released song Paradise on his latest album, Everything I Thought I Was, and Justin has admitted there is still "chemistry" there.

Odds of 4/6 are available on new betting sites that *NSYNC reunite next, while a Destiny's Child comeback (6/4) would be another huge US group reunion.

Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams split up nearly 20 years ago, and while they have performed a couple of times together since - for the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and during Beyonce's 2018 Coachella set - fans are desperate for a full reunion tour.

A Light That Could've Gone Out

There would be another Oasis-style ticket frenzy if the unthinkable were to happen and The Smiths reunited.

The Morrissey-fronted group haven't played together since a gig at London’s Brixton Academy on December 12, 1986, nearly 38 years ago - and they are 20/1 on betting apps to make a comeback.

Sadly for The Smiths super-fans, it looks highly unlikely that the There Is a Light That Never Goes Out hitmakers ever make a comeback.

Infamously, Morrissey once said he would rather "eat his own testicles" than perform with the band again.

However, late last month, the frontman said The Smiths had received a "lucrative offer" for a worldwide tour, but he claimed Johnny Marr "ignored" it.

The singer said on his Morrissey Central website: "In June 2024 AEG Entertainment Group made a lucrative offer to both Morrissey and Marr to tour worldwide as The Smiths throughout 2025.

"Morrissey said yes to the offer; Marr ignored the offer."

As well as Oasis, Radiohead were one of the biggest bands of the 90s and in 2026 it will be 10 years since the Creep outfit last released an album, A Moon Shaped Pool.

Philip Selway admitted in December that they were "coming back around" to the point of potentially getting back together, and it's just 5/1 they do so next.
