India Vs South Africa Prediction: The Panel's Best Bets For World T20 Final

World T20 Final India Vs South Africa Prediction:

India and South Africa meet in the World T20 Final in Barbados on Saturday in a clash between the two unbeaten sides in the tournament (3.30pm, Sky Sports Main Event).

Both teams strolled into the final, recording comfortable wins over their semi-final opponents. South Africa produced a dominant spell with the ball to ease past Afghanistan to book their first World T20 final berth.

India’s bowlers were also on point to end England’s reign as champions, skittling Jos Buttler’s side for 103 in their chase of 172.

Rohit Sharma’s men started the competition as favourites with UK betting sites and that expectation has not shifted as they are odds-on to defeat the Proteas.

The Panel looked at the form of both sides before making three betting predictions for the final.

India Vs South Africa Prediction: Can Sharma’s Men End Title Drought?

India have been frustrated in their bid to add further silverware to their collection since their last major title in 2011.

It seems incredible that a team steeped in talent has gone so long without success, especially in the shortest format where their drought extends back to 2007. India are due success, although getting over the line will be another matter.

Sharma’s men reached the final of the 50-over 2023 World Cup but were humbled by Australia and the brilliance of Travis Head. South Africa will be out to inflict the same agony, although the Proteas too have struggled in major tournaments.

They have failed to win a title since the 1998 ICC Champions Trophy and have not reached a final since, famously losing in farcical circumstances to Australia in the semi-finals of the 50-over 1999 World Cup.

Both sides are stacked with talent and experience, but this match will be decided by which team can handle the pressure.

South Africa are notorious for collapsing under duress, and although India are not a great deal better, they at least have been in these situations before. Sharma is playing outstanding cricket, while the bowling attack is in full flow, skittling through England’s powerful line-up with ease.

The Panel believe the game will be closer than the 1/2 odds on cricket betting sites for India to win suggest, but Sharma’s men should close out their first World T20 crown since 2007.

India Vs South Africa Tips: Sharma To Deliver Captain’s Knock

Sharma has come alive in the last two matches to defeat Australia and England. His impetus against the Aussies was outstanding, falling eight runs short of a deserved century.

His impact allowed India’s batters to take the attack to Pat Cummins and company to ensure there was no repeat of their failure in the 50-over World Cup final.

On a tricky surface against England, Sharma had to battle his way to a half-century. It was not the prettiest of knocks, but the 37-year-old was on his mettle where other players struggled.

South Africa arguably have the best bowlers out of India’s opponents to date and that will be a test of Sharma and the line-up.

India will be looking to their skipper to perform, especially since Virat Kohli has been woefully short of runs and The Panel likes the value of the batter milestone market on betting apps

Considering his form, backing Sharma at 12/5 to score 50 runs or more seems a good bet to take in what could be his final World T20 knock.

The Panel Tip: Rohit Sharma To Score 50 Runs Or More – 12/5 Bet365

India Vs South Africa Betting: Will Rabada Put The Pressure On?

This game promises to be a battle between two great bowling attacks. Kagiso Rabada and Jasprit Bumrah are two of the best bowlers of this generation of players, and both players will hold the key to victory for their respective outfits.

Rabada comes into the game under more pressure than Bumrah to perform.

If the 29-year-old has a stellar outing, he could turn the game in favour of Aidan Markram’s men. He has had a productive tournament to date with 12 wickets in his eight matches, including five in his last three.

Rabada was on point in the semi-final with figures of two for 14, but will have to take his game to the next level against India. He could be one to watch in the early overs with Kohli and Rishabh Pant short on form.

The Panel have looked at his performances and are tipping the right-arm pacer to take two wickets or more at odds of 8/5

The Panel Tip: Kagiso Rabada To Take Two Wickets Or More – 8/5 Betway
