Robert Huth: Chelsea Need More Firepower, But Dewsbury-Hall A Great Signing
Former Chelsea and Leicester defender Robert Huth believes Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is a “great signing” for the Blues, who are 6/4 with betting sites to finish in the top four this season.
Dewsbury-Hall completed a ￡30m switch to Stamford Bridge in the first week of July, reuniting with his former City boss Enzo Maresca.
The midfielder starred as the Foxes won promotion to the Premier League at the first time of asking last season.
And Huth, who has watched Dewsbury-Hall closely over the last few years, praised Chelsea for bringing him to west London.
“I think he’s a great signing, I really do,” the former defender said. “With his energy, his vision, it also fits the profile as well as he’s still young. It’s going to be a challenge for him to get into that midfield for sure, because they’ve got some good players there at Chelsea.
“But I really do like him, when I sort of finished at Leicester he came through as a young kid so I know what he’s like and I know his work ethic. He’s first one in, last one out.
“I’m kind of disappointed he left Leicester, but I think for him it’s a great challenge. He’s a fantastic player. Maresca obviously knows him from Leicester so from the outside it makes sense, both for him and for Chelsea.”

Adarabioyo Can Challenge For Starting Spot
The Blues have also wrapped up deals for Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo ahead of the new season.
Adarabioyo, a centre-back like Huth, joined on a free transfer from Fulham, and the German believes he will have to convince Maresca that he is ready to go straight into the starting XI.
“When you move clubs of course you’re going to push for a start. I’m pretty sure he’s aware of how difficult it’s going to be, but of course he’s got a chance,” he added.
“That’s why you move clubs. It’s a bigger club, you get to play in bigger stadiums with bigger crowds. I’m pretty sure he’s confident he’s going to push for a starting place.”
Blues Still Need Top-Quality Striker
Chelsea are expected to be busy for the rest of the summer as they look to return to the Champions League, but there is bound to be strong competition from the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United, Newcastle and Aston Villa.
Maresca will probably want some more attacking reinforcements, with Borussia Dortmund's German winger Karim Adeyemi one player who is being linked with a move to west London.
And Huth says he thinks Chelsea do need to add more firepower to the ranks ahead of the new campaign.
“We spoke last time about Chelsea probably needing a little bit more help up front,” he said.
“Nicolas Jackson obviously finished the season well last year, but you need players to put the ball in the net. That’s the name of the game. And the more talented players you have in your squad, the better chance you have.
“I think Nicolas Jackson is the one that needs to be pushed out, and he’s done well enough for me to stay in the team. With the new manager, and with a little bit of a different playing style that Chelsea are going to have with Maresca, it makes sense for Maresca to get his own players in.
“I’ve given up on Chelsea to be honest and what players they’re linked with. They’re linked with so many different players, it’s difficult to make sense sometimes of who they’re linked with, or who they’re not linked with.
“Obviously they’re trying to go younger with their squad, so they’ve got plenty of players there that fit that Chelsea profile of being young, and if you look ahead over the next three or four years, they’ve got plenty of cover in that position.”
