Euro 2024 Predictions: The Panel's Best Bets & Tips For Wednesday's Group F Games

Wednesday's Group F Predictions

Group F reaches its climax on Wednesday night when three of the four sides still have a chance of joining Portugal in the last 16.

Portugal have already wrapped up top spot with two wins under their belt, but the clash with Georgia is far from a dead rubber as their opponents know a surprise victory would see them progress.

It’s a similar story in the other game where a win for the Czech Republic over Turkey would put them on four points and book their place in the knockout phase.

However, Turkey just need to avoid defeat against the Czechs to advance to the next round, so the scene is set for an exciting night of action.

The Panel have looked at both games taking place on Wednesday evening and picked out their best bets with football betting sites.

Georgia Vs Portugal Tips, Wednesday, 8pm (ITV1)

The depth of this Portuguese squad is impressive to say the least, especially when you consider that a talent like Joao Felix is yet to even make an appearance after two group games.

So far, he's been confined to the bench during this tournament, but he could well get his chance on Wednesday, either from the start or as a substitute, with boss Roberto Martinez likely to make wholesale changes with qualification and top spot assured.

If he does get the call then Felix will no doubt be eager to make an impact and, having averaged 1.43 shots on target per 90 minutes in La Liga last season, The Panel expect him to cause a problem or two for a weak-looking Georgia defence.

With that in mind, we’re going with Portugal to win and Felix to score anytime at odds of 21/10 with Ladbrokes.

Czech Republic Vs Turkey, Wednesday, 8pm (ITV4)

Turkey just need a point against Czech Republic to secure a spot in the knockout stage of a major tournament for the first time in 16 years.

The Turks started Group F with a thrilling 3-1 win against Georgia, but were second best in a 3-0 defeat by Portugal who benefitted from a comical own goal to give them a two-goal lead before the half-hour mark.

In their opener, the Czechs took the lead against Portugal, who levelled through Robin Hranac’s own goal and just as it seemed as though they had earned a point, substitute Francisco Conceicao popped up to win the game for the 2016 champions in the second minute of stoppage time.

Against Georgia on Saturday, Ivan Hasek’s side took 26 shots, 11 of which were on target, but could only manage a 1-1 draw with an expected goals metric of 3.09, so they will certainly rue those missed chances if they fail to progress.

With just a point to their name, the Czechs must win in Hamburg to book their place in the last 16 for the second successive European Championship and they start as 17/10 favourites with betting apps to get the three points they need.

However, Turkey have won their last three encounters with Czech Republic, the latest being a 2-1 victory in a friendly just over 18 months ago which came after 2-0 wins in both qualifiers for Euro 2016.

This match promises to be an end-to-end-encounter and with all but one of the four matches involving these teams producing at least three goals, The Panel suspect that will be the case again, just as it was in November 2022.

Turkey look lively underdogs at 15/8 with betting sites to cause a surprise, but the next of our Euro 2024 predictions is for both teams to score and at least three goals at 6/5 with Bet365 which would have paid out in two of the four matches involving these nations in Germany.

The Panel Tip 2: Both Teams To Score And Over 2.5 Goals - 6/5 With Bet365
