Arsenal Vs Brighton Prediction: The Panel's Tips & Best Bets For Saturday's Clash

The Panel have three tips for Saturday's early game in the Premier League between Arsenal and Brighton at the Emirates.

The best betting sites have Arsenal down as 7/20 favourites, but could Brighton spring a surprise in this one at odds of 7/1?

Let’s check out The Panel's selections for the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.

Arsenal Vs Brighton Tip: Game Of Two Halves At The Emirates

Brighton will not simply sit back and hope for the best in this one, meaning Arsenal will probably have less of the ball than usual.

This was shown in their defeat to the Gunners last December when Roberto De Zerbi’s side had 52 percent possession, showing they are not a two-banks-of-four sort of team.

As a result, Arsenal may need to take more risks as the game goes on in search of a winner and The Panel feel there is a distinct possibility that two goals or more will be scored after the break.

Arsenal Vs Brighton Odds: Albion To Prove A Point

Arsenal lost both games against Aston Villa last season. Given they missed out on the title by just one point, those defeats were decisive. Last weekend’s triumph will thus have been especially pleasing for Mikel Arteta and co.

Yet Saturday’s showdown with Brighton has the potential to be a banana skin. Arsenal were fantastic in this fixture last season, running out 2-0 winners shortly before Christmas, but spirits are high at Brighton thanks to yet another positive start.

Albion have won here before, memorably triumphing 3-0 in May 2023, and they will not fear another trip to the Emirates.

They are the type of team that continue playing their own football no matter the opposition, and we have seen already this term that Faban Hurzeler’s side really pack a punch in the final third.

Of course, an Arsenal win is the most likely outcome on Saturday, but at the odds available it is worth a flutter on a draw. Brighton certainly have what it requires to take points off the Gunners.

Arsenal Vs Brighton Prediction: Saka Seems Likely Choice

Leandro Trossard is pushing for a start on Saturday after his exploits off the bench helped Arsenal earn the three points against Aston Villa.

The Belgium international broke the deadlock at Villa Park midway through the second period, while his movement caused plenty of problems down the left thereafter.

Yet Trossard is such a useful impact substitute that he will not necessarily come into the XI against Brighton. Bukayo Saka is therefore the best choice in the anytime scorer market.

The England international is exceptionally consistent; even after a busy summer at Euro 2024, in which he was probably his country’s best attacker, Saka shone against Wolves on the opening weekend.

"With good players it's like that," Arteta said when asked about how deadly Saka is when cutting on to his left foot. "With (Lionel) Messi, I know he's going to come in and do that, but you can't stop him."

Brighton are the latest opponents who will have to try and stop Saka, but their weak point is at left-back where the teenager Jack Hinshelwood, a midfielder by trade, has been playing of late.
