The 'Don’t Regret the Bet' responsible gaming campaign was honored with the Michigan Chapter Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The Michigan Gambling Control Board announced that their campaign excelled in the Graphic Arts – Motion Graphics category of this prestigious award. The 'Don’t Regret the Bet' gambling campaign is a venture of the MGCB and King Media, with contributions from Cutters Studios in Detroit. 

The creative staff at  King Media and the motion graphics designers at Cutters Studios crafted the campaign elements, such as the writing, branding, asset development, music, animated character, and sound effects at the request of the MGCB. The ads for this responsible gambling campaign impressed audiences across the Wolverine State and positively impacted gaming practices by players at Michigan online casinos licensed by the MGCB.

The executive director of MGCB, Henry Williams, said in the official press release announcing the Emmy Award that the Board is committed to promoting responsible gaming and improving awareness of the risks associated with gambling. Williams expressed gratitude for collaborating with King Media to shape the 'Don’t Regret the Bet' award-winning campaign. According to the MGCB director, the engaging motion graphics successfully conveyed the message of responsible gaming.

Collective Creative Effort 

The recent recognition at the Michigan Chapter Emmy Awards highlights the high standards in promoting responsible gaming practices via impactful storytelling. The founder of Kings Media, Coleen King, also expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with the MGCB, saying in the press release that this partnership is a testament to the creativity of their collective team.

According to King, this award reflects the talents and unwavering commitment to educating Michigan residents about responsible gaming. The campaign was introduced in 2023 and aims to curtail gambling problems among Michigan players.
