Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Voted “Best Casino Hotel” For Seventh Year in A Row
Mohegan’s flagship casino property based in Connecticut has been voted “Best Casino Hotel” in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the seventh year in a row.
That’s the most times a casino property has won that category since the award’s inception in 2013.
Panel Includes Relevant Experts
“This achievement continues to be a direct result of the dedication that our team members put forward every day in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests,” said Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun.
Nominees in all the categories in the readers’ choice awards are judged by a panel of relevant experts – USA Today editors, 10Best.com editors, other expert contributors and sources from other Gannett properties.
Mohegan Sun also placed in the Top 5 for “Best Casino Outside of Las Vegas” and their rewards program, called Momentum, was ranked No. 2 in the “Best Players Club” category.
“Our Momentum Rewards also achieved high marks, which is another tremendous honor as so much hard work goes into making this program one of the best in the industry,” Hamilton added.

Mohegan owns and operates resorts in Connecticut, Washington, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada, Canadian properties in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Mohegan INSPIRE based in Incheon, South Korea. INSPIRE had their grand opening last March. Mohegan Digital went live in April.
Mohegan Sun, located in Uncasville, along the banks of the Thames River, has more than 300 table games, and nearly 4,000 slot machines, over 300,000 square feet, making it one of the largest casinos in the U.S.
