WSOP Online 2022: More than $50 Million Up for Grabs
Fresh off a record-breaking summer series in Las Vegas, the WSOP is back, and, between Aug. 14 and Oct. 18, it will host dozens of events on WSOP.com and GGPoker.
The dual series will be available to poker players in the U.S. at WSOP.com, and to the international gaming community via GGPoker.
That means players on both sides of the Atlantic will be able to win a World Series of Poker bracelet and, in turn, a share of more than $50 million in prize money.
The decision to bring back WSOP Online was down to the success of the previous series and, of course, the latest festival in Las Vegas.
With the WSOP 2022 event attracting more than 197,000 players and paying out more than $347 million, the most to the WSOP winner, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, Ty Stewart, said “no one wanted to see this year’s WSOP come to an end.”
International Action Likely to Set More Records
Thanks to the power of the internet, the action will continue. Stewart and the executives at the World Series of Poker want to make WSOP Online a marquee event on the poker calendar. The latest digital series certainly goes a long way to achieving that goal.
GGPoker will host 33 bracelet events for international players. That means anyone in the UK, parts of Europe, Asia, and South America, could win some bling via their computer or mobile. GGPoker’s WSOP Online MTTs will cost between $100 and $10,000, and some of the schedule’s highlights are:
The international schedule runs from Aug. 14 to Sept. 26 and the jewel in its proverbial crown is the $5,000 Main Event. Continuing a trend started in 2020, the tournament will have a $20 million guarantee and, with satellites costing jU.S.t a few dollars, it could become the richest online MTT in history.
Bracelet Fun Continues for U.S. Players on WSOP.com
Even before the bracelet action on GGPoker concludes, the cards will be flying on WSOP.com. The U.S. portion of WSOP Online 2022 is open to anyone aged 21+ and physically located in the states of Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Michigan.
Joining WSOP.com takes little more than a few clicks and some personal details. For those who are eligible to play, WSOP Online U.S. will have its own Main Event, as well as dozens of additional ways to win a bracelet:
As it is on GGPoker, WSOP.com is running hundreds of satellites before and during its online series. That means anyone with a few bucks in their account could win their way into a bracelet event and become a WSOP champion.
