Las Vegas Aces vs Dallas Wings (O/U 179, Aces -9)

The Las Vegas Aces started out 6-6, but they are now 18-11 on the season and trying to finish on another streak before the playoffs start on September 22.

Las Vegas are 10-19 ATS (against the spread) and have not covered in eight consecutive games. The spread for their game with Dallas has increased from 8 to 9.

This has been a theme with Aces games, and Las Vegas has dropped four of their past six decisions outright.

Basketball betting sites have inched the moneyline upward to as high as -450 for this game, which will be televised on NBA TV.

Expect the contest to feature some considerable pace. Dallas still leads the league in terms of field goals made and Las Vegas can put up big totals. The Aces can quickly put up 90+ points and give up 90+ too.

Dallas is approaching +350 on the Moneyline. That is not the craziest number ever. So, can the Wings make a game of it here?

Take a risk on Dallas on keeping it close is worth considering.

The Panel Pick: Dallas Wings +9 Points - DraftKings -112

The Over Keeps On Moving

If you need proof that the Wings can score and concede a lot of points, look no further than the weekend's game with the Los Angeles Sparks, who lost 113-110 to Dallas.

The problem here is where the over opened. With a number as low as 174.5, some online betting sites have set it at 179 (see DraftKings).

Do not be surprised if other sportsbooks follow suit. There is even the possibility of seeing 179.5 somewhere. Nothing is out of bounds since this is the only game in town.

Las Vegas wants to keep the tempo high. If anything, they prefer games where the pace is as fast as possible and Dallas is the same.

When the urgency was raised late against Los Angeles, the points seemed to multiply with the minimum of fuss.

This is the only contest on Tuesday night, but bettors will need a breather after this one. Dallas has to push the tempo here to have a chance at winning. This likely plays into both teams' hands and the over, too.

The Panel Pick: Las Vegas and Dallas Over 178.5 Points - BetMGM -115

Expect An Explosive First Half

The Las Vegas Aces are 9-4 on the road this season. Whatever the reason, the Aces save some of their best basketball outside the state of Nevada.

The last time Dallas and Las Vegas met, they combined for 189 points in a 104-85 Aces win. That was in Las Vegas and Dallas tends to play better at home.

An A’ja Wilson against Arika Ogunbowale matchup is one to watch. Ogunbowale has never met a shot she doesn't like.

Ogunbowale is +900 with Caesars to get the first basket on Tuesday night. Another consideration may be the first quarter Over in terms of points.

Dallas came out against Los Angeles and shot poorly. It is rare to see the Wings score 13 points in an opening quarter, but it happened.

Don't expect the same thing to happen today. That should pave the way for a first half full of offense. The halftime Over of 89.5 points is reasonable enough to wager on for Tuesday night.

The Panel Pick: Las Vegas and Dallas Over 89.5 First-Half Points - Caesars -110
