Minutes When Touchdowns Were Scored By The Remaining Playoffs Teams

Four teams remain in the NFL playoffs and for them, a place in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas is just one win away.

It's Conference Championship weekend where two teams can start planning to play for a Super Bowl ring. For the losers, an off-season of improving the roster awaits.

The San Francisco 49ers remain favorites with the leading sports betting sites to win next month's Super Bowl, with the Baltimore Ravens next on the list.

Two of last weekend's four Divisional round were decided by three points or fewer and this weekend's two Conference games could also be close contests.

At Gambling.com, we've broken down all the touchdowns scored by the four remaining teams throughout the season (including the playoffs), into the minutes they were scored.

Expect Fireworks At The End Of The First Half

Sunday is a day for sitting watch back-to-back games. The AFC's Super Bowl opponent will be determined first as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens battle it out in Baltimore.

Right after that, the 49ers host the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship decider. But when should you not leave your seat?

Our study shows that you should stay tuned to the games during the two-minute warning at the end of the first half.

The four remaining playoff teams have scored a total of 25 touchdowns in the final two minutes of the first half, nine in the 29th minute and 16 in the 30th minute.

Last weekend, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills both found the end zone in the final minute of the first half.

If you're betting on this weekend's game, it might be worth backing a touchdown to be scored in this period on your sports betting app.

The last five minutes of the first half are also the most prolific with 42 total touchdowns scored, which is 19 more than the first five minutes at the start of the fourth quarter.

None of the four remaining teams have found the end zone in the second minute of a game so far this season. Will that change this weekend?

Will The Lions Strike Late, Again?

All being well, this weekend's games will come down to the closing stages. The remaining teams hoping to represent the AFC and NFC in Super Bowl LVIII, have combined to score three touchdowns in the final minute of games this season.

The Detroit Lions have accounted for all of them.

The most recent of these came in their controversial 20-19 road loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17, which cost the Lions the number one seed.

However, Detroit still has a chance of winning the Super Bowl, while the Cowboys were eliminated last weekend by the Green Bay Packers.
