Euro 2024 Final: The Panel's Best Bets & Predictions

England are one win away from winning their first major tournament since winning the 1966 World Cup.

Ollie Watkins' last-minute goal sealed a 2-1 win for the Three Lions as they made it through to their second successive European Championship final.

Gareth Southgate's side have lived dangerously at times in Germany, but they have shown great resilience to make the decider, where they will meet Spain.

Spain have a 100 per cent record at Euro 2024 and will take some beating. Football betting sites have Spain as favourites, but England have proved to be a very difficult side to beat.

Former West Ham forward Carlton Cole believes 58 years of hurt ends in Berlin on Sunday night.

"It’s going to be a very tight game, all about tactics," Cole told Gambling.com.

"It will be a hard game for England to win, but I see it being a draw at full-time and England to win on penalties."

England to beat Spain on penalties is 8/1 on betting apps.

History suggests that player of the tournament comes from the winning team.

Several England players have shown glimpses of brilliance in attack, but Cole believes the accolade should go to a defender.

"I would give the player of the tournament award to Marc Guehi, who has been outstanding," Cole told Gambling.com.

"He looks like a young Ledley King.

"When everybody said our defence would be a problem, he stepped in for Harry Maguire and he has gone to another level.

"We have a great player on our hands for the future there."

Emmanuel Petit, who helped France win Euro 2000, thinks Sunday's final will go the other way.

He believes Spain will continue their unbeaten record in the tournament, with one of their rising stars taking the prestigious individual accolade.

"I can see Spain winning the final 2-1 in normal time," Petit said.

"Lamine Yamal has impressed me a lot in this tournament and I would give him the player of the tournament award."

Spain to win 2-1 can be backed at 10/1 on new betting sites.
